Austria is known for its excellent skiing opportunities, for both beginners and advanced skiers, and of course the cozy Après ski. This is one of the reasons why it has been the favorite holiday destination for winter sports for years. Austria is characterized by hospitality and Gemütlichkeit and is a country where you feel at home.
The Wildschönau with the villages Niederau, Oberau, Auffach and Thierbach is a popular holiday region. Wild, traditional and rustic is the high valley in Tyrol. Niederau is the first place to arrive in the Wildschönau and lies at 828 meters. Niederau is immediately recognizable by the pointed church steeple of his parish church and the nearby mountain Markbachjoch. Niederau is only 10 km away from the motorway exit A12 in Wörgl.
Niederau is the largest village in the Wildschönau ski area and lies at an altitude of 828 meters. It is a friendly village on the edge of the Kitzbühel Alps. The extremely child-friendly and well-organized area has many Dutch ski instructors. There are plenty of practice slopes for children and there are even special 'kindergarten' courses at the bottom of the slopes.
The area SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental is the largest connected ski area in Austria, with 280 km of slopes, 90 modern gondolas / lifts and 7 authentic huts, where you can ski and what is included. The villages include Itter, Söll, Scheffau, Ellmau, Going, Hopfgarten, Kelchsau, Westendorf and Brixen im Thale.
The Kitzbüheler Horn, Hahnenkamm, Fleckalm and Pass Thurn all feature perfectly groomed pistes, plenty of variety and, of course, cosy and rustic ski huts where you can stop in for refreshments and relaxation.
