Ski show of the instructor in floodlight with mulled wine party. Every Sunday at 8.30 pm, the 1st Skischool Wildschönau, right next to the valley station of the Markbachjoch gondola, will be showing an impressive ski show. Furthermore, fireworks are turned off and the staff of Ski Juwel gives a show with Piste Bully's and snowmobile. Really nice to experience on your ski holiday! The location is only a short walk from the apartment.
In the summer every Wednesday there is a concert of the Bundesmusikkapelle Niederau. The beginning of the village evening is at 19.00 clock with a Schmankerl kitchen, supported by various clubs. At 8:15 pm there will be a move in and at 8:30 pm the concert will take place. Volunteers from the various clubs / clubs provide the typical regional dishes and drinks. A pleasant evening, where you definitely have to look at.
The Wildschönau Valley Festival.(8-10 August 2019) The Festival takes place annually and is held alternately in Oberau, Auffach and Niederau. The local brass bands organise the event. It is the highlight of the summer festival season and one of the largest festivals in Tirol with a parade on the Sunday featuring all the local bands, guest bands, the Rifle Company and the Storm Troopers as well as dozens of decorated floats and wagons.
The Wildschönau Almabtrieb (21 September 2024) or cattle drive is one of the few remaining authentic festivals of it's kind in Tirol. It takes place from 10.00 am in Auffach. Grandiose cattle drive through Auffach. Farmers market, craft fair, Tirolean specialties and farm produce on sale. The Schatzberg lift car park in Auffach is the venue. The festival is opened by the Auffach Brass Band and afterwards the group "Wildschönau 6" provides the music and entertainment. Music groups will be playing at the Gasthof Weissbacher, Hotel Platzl and Hotel Auffacherhof. The first cows arrive at around 12 pm.
